SUMMARY:Sandbagging the Monument!!
DESCRIPTION:The Loyal Company Association is installing a magnificent C2 Howitzer monument on the Saint John Harbor next to Fort Latour. The dedication ceremony will take place on the 6th of June\, 2019\, with many dignitaries in attendance\, including the Director of Artillery\, Colonel Mark LaFortune\, who was a 3rd Field Officer! \nThe gun will be mounted in an actual gun emplacement (gun pit)\, and the gun pit will have actual sand bags that will fortify the emplacement. The sand bags will be treated so that they will last permanently\, without rot. \nOn 4 May\, between 11 AM – 1 PM\, all soldiers and veterans of the Regiment are invited to come and help fill sand bags to be a part of building this incredible monument of gunnery! I can imagine time capsules of small sizes to be\naccidentally inserted into some of the sand bags Ὀ \nALL VETERANS OF 3rd Field Artillery Regiment\, RCA (The Loyal Company) are invited and encouraged to attend the 4th of May sand bagging / gun emplacement build! \n
